Just a friendly reminder of our Travel Club Meeting this Thursday, September 20th,  at 1:30 PM at Sandy Folk’s home ( her new address is 1509-16th Ave. SW ).  We will be making plans for this year.  Please remember to bring your calendars and ideas for programs.  I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Please re-confirm (whether or not) you are planning to attend.  I would like to have the count for Sandy by Wednesday AM.

September Program  

AAUW will be starting off the 2018-19 year on Tuesday, September 11 with a potluck at Christ Episcopal Church located at 301 3rd Avenue NW at 6:30 pm. Barb Hunter and Jenni Braaten will discuss the program line up for the year as well as any updates on the small groups members may have. Please bring a dish to pass for the potluck. Paper plates, silverware, napkins and water will be provided by the AAUW branch.  It will be a fun evening to share and connect with others!

First Friday

PM Book Group

Evening book group will meet on Monday, March 19^th at 7 PM at the home of Peggy Benzkofer to discuss the Page Turners’ selection Give a Girl A Knife by Amy Thielen.  Please RSVP to Peggy at pjbenzko@gmail.com.

AM Book Group 

Morning Book Group meets March 15 at 9:00 A.M. to discuss Lost Horizon by James Hilton. This novel is about a British diplomat who finds peace and purpose in Shangra-La. The leader is Lois McConnell.

Great Decisions

Great Decisions meets Monday, March 26, at Riverland (room TBD) at 1:00 P.M. to discuss Russia’s foreign policy.

Start saving up those used books now!  The spring Used Books Sale at the Austin Public Library will be here before we know it!  Mark your calendars for May 4-6.  A sign up will be available at the next meeting for volunteers to assist with this important fundraiser for our organization!
